why I’M RUNNING
I’m running for State Representative Position 2 because I believe the families of Lakewood, Parkland, Spanaway, Tillicum, and parts of Tacoma deserve leadership that invests in their stability, protects their dignity, and strengthens their voice.
Building Economic Stability for Families
Too many families in our district are stretched thin. The costs of housing, healthcare, food, and transportation continue to rise, and small disruptions, such as a missed paycheck, a paperwork delay, or a medical emergency, can push households into crisis.
Through my work at the Washington State Department of Commerce, managing contracts within the WorkFirst (TANF) program, I see every day how hardworking families navigate complex systems just to access basic support. I know how frustrating it can be when people lose benefits not because they’re ineligible, but because of administrative barriers.
In Olympia, I will work to expand housing options, strengthen renter protections, streamline access to public benefits, and modernize systems so families can access support with dignity, not obstacles.
Economic stability isn’t a luxury. It’s the foundation for opportunity.
protecting immigrant families & strengthening community safety
Public safety begins with stability, trust, and connection.
Our neighborhoods are strongest when families feel safe sending their children to school, accessing services, and participating in public life without fear. I strongly support policies that protect immigrant and mixed-status families by strengthening privacy protections and limiting unnecessary cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.
I also believe in prevention-based safety strategies, investing in youth programs, behavioral health services, and community-centered crisis prevention
When communities are connected and supported, everyone is safer.
Standing up for Workers
Washington’s economy only works when workers are protected.
I support collective bargaining rights, strong enforcement of wage theft laws, and workplace protections that ensure safety and fairness. As new technologies like artificial intelligence reshape the workforce, we must act responsibly, protecting workers from unfair displacement while investing in training and career pathways that prepare them for the future.
I also believe our tax system should work for working families. That means ensuring the wealthiest households and largest corporations contribute their fair share so we can fund schools, healthcare, and essential services without placing the burden on everyday workers.
I see fear and uncertainty in our community and believe we can do better. Together, we can build a district where safety, opportunity, and access aren’t privileges; they’re the standard.
