I. AFFORDABILITY

  • Lower the overall cost of living so working families can afford food, gas, housing, and healthcare.

  • Ensure unincorporated Pierce County receives equitable investments and services compared to incorporated areas.

  • Address resource deserts by improving access to grocery stores, pharmacies, healthcare, and other essential services.

II. Labor & Workers’ rights

  • Uphold and strengthen unionizing efforts and collective bargaining protections. 

  • Improve workplace safety and protections. 

  • Expand labor protections for vulnerable and underserved workers.

III. Protecting Immigrant Families & Strengthening Community Safety

  • Advocate for humane treatment and oversight of the detention center.

  • Increase transparency and accountability for facilities funded by taxpayer dollars.

  • Address homelessness, fentanyl, and drug-related violence through prevention, treatment, and housing resources.

  • Invest in neighborhood safety through neighborhood traffic calming measures, including roundabouts where appropriate.
